With continuing warm and dry weather across Island Timberlands property, generally speaking, the following gate closures are scheduled for the upcoming weekend:
Open - Shawnigan Lake Gate: 0700-1700 hrs.
Closed -
Copper Canyon, Nanaimo River, Northwest Bay, Buckley Bay and Iron (Oyster) River.
Un-gated areas and the Alberni Valley will be considered closed due to considerable fire risk as well.
