Permits for firewood harvesting, and access to firewood areas, will be available for sale starting this weekend.
Firewood will be made available in the Shawnigan area for the long weekend.
Permits and associated maps are available for purchase at the Cowichan Regional Visitor Center at 2896 Drinkwater Road in Duncan.
The Visitor Center hours are from 9am-5pm Monday-Saturday (with exception of this coming holiday Monday), and 10am-2pm for Sundays and the holiday Monday.
is there firewood opportunities for northwest bay as I was there at 8 am Saturday 5 and nobody was there giving permits out and people waiting and will there be any openings in nanaimo thank you

ReplyDeleteThe NWB gate should be open Sunday and Monday this weekend from 8am-5pm. No firewood at this time.

ReplyDeleteFirewood is only available for sale, and for cutting, on weekends. Extension is under Northwest Bay - great question.
