Access Information for the Weekend of January 30-31

The following gates are expected to be open this weekend.
We permit access on weekends only.  Do not expect any additional gates to be opened
  • Copper Canyon:  Open 8am / close 4pm
  • Northwest Bay:  Open 8am / close 4pm
  • Cameron Main : Open.
  • Cameron Connector:  Open
  • Ash Main, Comox Main, Canal Main:  Open
  • Pass Main (access to Mt. Arrowsmith):  Open

These gates will be closed promptly at these posted times.  You will be locked in for the night if you do not plan your exit time accordingly.

All other gates not listed may or may not be open, and may be closed at any time. If you enter with your vehicle you risk being locked in; we will not send staff out to open any gate for you after hours, or if it is not posted to be open.
You may have to pay a tow truck to have your vehicle removed.

Firewood harvesting for personal use is available; please review the firewood specific blog post for the weekend.

No fires, no camping, and no off-road vehicles (i.e. ATVs, UTVs, buggies or side-by-sides) are authorized on our private property.

  1. Hi there, do I need a permit for my truck and a separate permit for utility trailer?

  2. If your question pertains to harvesting firewood, then yes, you need one permit for each unit. If it is simply for access on weekends, there would be no need to bring a utility trailer onto our property.

  3. Hi, I have a quick question regarding Comox Main. I have tried to get to Cruikshank rd last two weekends and the gate has been locked. Yet your blog says it will be open. Thanks tor your time.

  4. We keep Comox Main open to visit areas around the Ash Valley, and the Beauforts.
Access into TimberWest property off our private managed forest lands is not available, such as the Cruikshank. You will have to contact TimberWest for access; this is their gate you reference.

  5. The mainline continues to be closed this weekend.
