Firewood Opportunities for the Weekend of April 23-24

These are the areas open for firewood permit sales this weekend.


Please purchase your permit through our website, or a Visitor Information Center as listed below.  Permits are $30.


Safety equipment is required:  work boots, chainsaw pants/pads, eye protection, ear protection.

  1. hi I was just wondering if the site on nanaimo lakes road seasoned or green and who are the people running it this weekend and is it still 30 for the permit thanks

  2. The Mountain View PAC is running the firewood program off Nanaimo Lakes Road this weekend. Permits are $30 cash. The wood is not seasoned.

  3. On the permits , it says for personal use .Why then , are the commercial guys in there cutting , and selling it ? ...It should not be allowed

  4. We offer opportunities for commercial firewood harvesting and personal firewood harvesting. They are different permits with different conditions at different rates.

    Any issue with heading up the Fanny bay main tomorrow to hike in the local hills? I did not see any activity on the main line from a view point after heading up the east side of the access road today.

  9. There are no current openings planned for either access or firewood in the Oyster at this time. Please keep check blog posts under 'Access Information' for this information.
