Forest Fire Risk and Public Access

As the summer weather approaches, we are looking at increasing forest fire risk.

We will endeavor to post gate and area closures on our blog on late Thursday after we have reviewed fire weather information.

This will be our approach going forward until the fall.

Firewood Opportunities for the Weekend of May14-15

There will be no firewood openings available for this weekend given increasing forest fire risk.
Unless there is a significant change in weather including precipitation, we will likely not open up for firewood until Fall 2016.

Firewood Opportunities for the Weekend of May 7-8

Here are the areas open for personal firewood harvesting this weekend.

You must carry your permit on your person at all times.

Safety equipment requirements include chainsaw pants, sturdy work boots, eye protection and ear protection.

Be aware forest fire risk is increasing.  Firewood opportunities will become less likely as we move closer to summer.
