The following gates and major roads are expected to be open this weekend.
No fires, no camping, and no off-road vehicles (i.e. ATVs, UTVs, buggies or side-by-sides) are authorized on our private property.
Do not expect any additional gates to be opened. Gate times are effective sunrise to sunset unless otherwise specified for this weekend.
***Due to ongoing bridge repair work in Northwest Bay, the gate at 155-8 km will be closed for this long weekend. The 142 Mainline will be open and there is still access to Rhododendron Lake.

ReplyDeleteIs shawnigan gate open weekdays 9-3?
ReplyDeleteThe Shawnigan Lake Operation is closed to the public Monday to Friday. Weekend access may be granted on a weekend by weekend basis. Continue to check this blog site for specific weekend access.
DeleteRegarding Comox Main; is 21.6 km a blockage or the place Timberwest takes ownership? Their site is no more helpful, by saying it's open but CL31 is not, yet not clarifying where that is. Can there not be a clear way to tell us whether or not we can drive from Elsie Lake to Comox Lake without driving 90 minute longer over the highways?
ReplyDeleteAt the 21.6 km point along Comox Main there is an Island Timberlands Gate. This gate is locked. This is not the location where Private Land ownership changes from Island Timberlands to Timberwest. To be clear, access from Elsie Lake to Comox Lake, along the Comox Mainline is closed.
ReplyDeleteWill access past the 22km on Copper Canyon Main ever be back? Countless alpine enthusiasts have lost access to Mt Whymper due to this closure.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, due to ongoing theft, vandalism and other illegal activities occurring, we've had to close the area to the public until further notice.
DeleteWas wondering what time gates close Monday to Friday for access to Mt. Arrow smith.
ReplyDeleteDue to active harvesting activities, and in the best interests of everyone's safety, access via the Cameron Mainline to Mt Arrowsmith is closed to the public Monday to Friday. Please continue to refer to this blog for access timelines.
