  1. Hi there

Are there any plans to open the Oyster River Main for access to Norm/Pearl/Gem Lakes this season?

    Cheers

    1. The Oyster River Operation will be open for recreation in the Fall, during Deer Hunting Season. Gate times for hunting/recreation have yet to be set but generally, the gate will be open at 0600 hrs.

  2. Was wondering if it would be possible to fish Labour Day Lake from Monday to Friday in the evenings as it doesn't get dark until after 9 and not busy like the weekends ?

    1. Access during the week and on the weekends is now available for our Cameron Mainline. We do plan to have some light traffic, but there are no plans to have any heavy equipment using this Mainline for the short term. As always, please drive safely and continue to access our blog for access information.

    1. No. I would check with Timberwest for potential access though their property.

    1. Island Timberlands does not permit target shooting on its lands. I recommend you contact the local Fish and Game clubs in your area; in most cases they will have gun ranges that are available for members and the public.

  7. I was hope to plan a bicycle trip from Comox Lake to Port Alberni via Comox Main on Saturday July 16th. Are we allowed past the gate at 21.9km on bicycle to get to Port Alberni? Thanks.

  8. I cannot comment for the roads and property where Comox main travels through Timberwest's property. If any of our gates are closed, such as the one you are referring to at 21.9 Km on the Comox main, this means we do not allow any access beyond this point. There are numerous reasons why gates are closed - safety being the number one priority.
