          Off-Roading is not permitted on Island Timberlands Property.  Please respect the environment and keep your vehicles on the main travelled roads at all times.

          No fires, camping, target practice/shooting or off-road vehicles (i.e. Snow Mobiles, ATVs, UTVs, buggies or side-by-sides)  are permitted on our property, unless authorized by Island Timberlands.

                      A Pacific storm will reach the South Coast tonight. This storm will bring significant snowfall amounts to the Vancouver Island regions as cold arctic air is entrenched over the region.  Snowfall, with total amounts up to 20 cm is expected.


                      Based on the Snowfall warning access will be limited.  Security Guards will be stationed at their regular gate(s) to turn those away that do not get this message.

                          ***Notice to our Public Firewood Cutters***

                          “Due to the technical difficulties we are currently experiencing with the online firewood permit system, we are shutting the system down for maintenance and repairs until further notice. Please visit our partners at the Port Alberni, Parksville, and Cowichan Regional Visitor Centres to purchase weekend firewood permits.”

                           Firewood Opportunities for the Weekend of Dec 3rd and 4th

                          There will be a firewood fundraiser this weekend, at the NLR 47 gate (Nanaimo Lakes Road).
                           
                          You must carry your valid permit with you at all times.

                          Safety equipment requirements include chainsaw pants, sturdy work boots, eye protection and ear protection.

                          Firewood is for personal use only and not to be sold.

                          There will be random checks for Permits and Safety Equipment.  If you do not have a permit or adequate safety equipment our guards will ask you to leave the property and your firewood will be confiscated.   

                          There are now 10 areas open for firewood this weekend.  They are:
                           


                           Maps of the areas can be obtained from the Visitors Centres listed below.
