  1. Firewood fundraiser again this weekend @ NLR 45?

  2. Are firewood permits available on site for the NLR 45 firewood block? If not, where can these be purchased?

    1. Permits for the NLR 45 Block can be purchased on site (at the gate).

  3. Hello, what are the hours that Glenora Gate is open this weekend? Thank you.

    1. The Shawnigan (Glenora) gate will be open at 8:00 AM and be closed at 4:00 PM.

    2. Is Shawnigan (Glenora) open for firewood cutting since the gate is open 8-4?

    3. Currently there are no firewood opportunities available for the public in the Shawnigan area.

  4. Is there anywere to get firewood during the week ?

    1. Currently there are no areas available for Public firewood cutting during the week.

  5. Hi we found the Nanaimo lakes road main gate closed at 8am and nobody showed up till we left at 0845 hrs. Was this planned as your tables says it would be open

    1. Each Weekend a new/different Fund Raising Group along with volunteers man the gates and issue permits. We ask they start at 8:00 AM and have people leave the site at 4:00 PM. If they start late, it's understandably disappointing to the people that show up at 8:00 AM or earlier. We'll make an effort to remind the groups that people are depending on the Opening and Closing times. Thanks for the feedback.

  6. Hi is the Nanaimo lakes main gate closed in weekends. Do we need a permit to fish at 1st and second lakes?

    1. Your question should be directed to the Land Owners - Timberwest. Island Timberlands does not control the access to First or Second Lake.
