Access information for the weekend of  March 11th and 12th, 2017

The following openings/closures are in effect for this weekend:

Cameron Main: Open
Cameron Connector: Open 
Loon Lake: Open
Horne Lake North 200:  Closed
Ash Main (at 22 km): Open
Ash Main (at 28.6 km): Open
Comox Main: Open
Museum Main: Open
Northwest Bay: Open 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Nanaimo Lakes Road 45 - Access to Firewood Block 6.6 km in from gate.  Open 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Chemainus Main: Open 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Closed at 22 km
Mines Road: Closed
Glenora (Shawnigan): Closed
Buckley Bay: Closed
Ashling Road (Spider Lake): Closed
Oyster River:  Closed
Nanaimo River Camp: Closed
Please note, on weekdays access is closed to the Public, gates may still be open to facilitate access by operational equipment and vehicles.  Note any open gates may be closed at any time.
Temporary Closure - Alberni Inlet Trail
There will be a short term closure of the Inlet Trail from the entrance just above the China Creek dryland sort to approximately 1km up the trail while we harvest in the area. 
The closure will start the week of January 16th and be complete in approximately two months (dependent on weather).  Please heed all signs and see the blog for any updates.

Unauthorized Access
Unless otherwise noted in this blog, all of Island Timberlands' Property is closed to the public during the week, this includes hunting.  Unauthorized access, at any time, will not be tolerated and mobile Security patrols are active 24/7 to enforce this policy.  
Unless otherwise authorized, ATV's and Snow Mobiles are not permitted on Island Timberlands Property.  In addition, campfires, camping and off-roading are not permitted.  Please respect the environment and keep your vehicles on the main travelled roads at all times.


Don't let the few Criminals ruin access for everyone! If you see any suspicious activities on our lands you can report them!  Do not put yourself in an unsafe situation or confrontation.
